My wife just had a letter to say she's going to have a telephone assessment but she can't hold mobile phone to answer them and a lady came from dwp last week to see both of us about me her husband becoming her appointee and was told no and she would email capita to tell them either use the paper trail version or do a home visit they still insisting on a telephone assessment call is this right as they can't see her disability over the phone

Contact the assessment provider and explain the situation.0

They no longer do home assessments and haven't since the start of the pandemic. Telephone assessments replaced them. Some assessments are still face to face but at an assessment centre. You can put the mobile onto loud speaker, if that's easier. Are you now here appointee? Or were you refused this? It's not clear based on this comment.daves1 said:a lady came from dwp last week to see both of us about me her husband becoming her appointee and was told no
If you are then you will be able to answer all questions on her behalf.0 -
