I remember paying £5 for a pint (in a plastic cup) in London and thought that was crazy.

Now it's £5 everywhere, I shudder to think what it is in London, I can well imagine it being £10.

£3 is the average here for standard beers, £4 for Guinness and £5 for premium. I agree prices have gone crazy. Can’t beat a nice £2 pint in Wetherspoons though :D

Absolutely! Rare I drink to be honest but I always have some in from gifts etc. I do like a nice pulled pint in a pub on occasion, especially in the summer heat.

I am a regular beer drinker, have 2-3 beers a week, I like the quality bottled ales from the "4 for £6" range in Tesco. I don't know what it is about pulled pints but IMO you can't match a pulled pint with a bottle. Even a basic beer like Old Speckled Hen tastes so much nicer in a pub!

I'm one of those alcoholics who can drink non-alcoholic and not yearn for the real thing.
My 0% go to's are Aldi's pilsner 6 for £2.69 and Shipyard Ale and Doom Bar Ale ...

Scared to try Stella zero ... cos the real thing was my downfall

I've never tried the real thing but I do enjoy the hoppiness of the zero, very refreshing when chilled.
Tesco do it on offer for £1 a lot of times or Morrisons 4 for the price of 3

Adnams Ghost Ship ale is also very good

Love this song ... not very well known, but the emotion is raw, and sadly tragic
