Hello,
I had a review of my PIP claim back in 2020 (before the first lockdown). I was awarded PIP and received a letter, telling me my claim had been extended to 2025. I received a text from Capita 'reminding' me of my assessment next week (14th Feb). However, I never received a letter in the post telling me about this assessment. I  contacted DWP and Capita PIP line, but neither of them had a clue as to why this was happening. There is no reason for this review according to both of them. There's no referral on the PIP system for my PIP claim. I've been on PIP for over 10 years. My circumstances haven't gotten any better, in fact, they've gotten worse.  So my question is this, why do I have an assessment appointment when I'm not due one? My anxiety is at an all-time high and I can't focus on anything.

If neither PIP nor Capita can tell you we can only guess it that an error has been made somewhere. Did Capita have any record of an appointment on 14th? If not is possibly a mistaken text.

Hello, apologies for the late reply. I couldn't remember my login details. The text I received was: This is to remind you, that your personal independence payment assessment is taking place on 14th Feb at 12pm". However, I have since had this text message sent 4 more times today. 3 were straight after each other. I'm starting to really stress out as PIP/Capita or the DWP have on their systems record of my assessment. Stress is starting to get out of control.
