just a quick one I’ve just read that the cost of living payment will not be paid to people on ESA contributions why is it contributions always get the raw end I get the same money as ESA means tested
is what I’ve read true?
however I get LWCRA under UC so do I qualify as last time

You’re correct those that only claim New style ESA will not be entitled to any of the £900 cost of living payments.However as you’re also claiming UC if you’re entitled to a payment during the qualifying period (when it’s announced) then you’ll receive the first payment in the Spring.It’s no different to last years cost of living payments and you were entitled to those as I see from a previous thread here https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/98251/will-there-be-a-2nd-cost-of-living-payment-for-the-disabled#latestI would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
