Hi everyone, I just found the Community when I was looking for information on PIP Review Delays.  I handed my Review in on 8th July 2022 and still haven't heard a thing. I'm due to order my Mobility car but can't because my PIP runs out in May. UI think I saw somewhere that they extend it by a year when it gets to within 35 days of running out. They already extended it once. Anybody else in the same boat?

Good to be part of the Community

I dont't think that was how best to introduce myself...sorry. My name is John and I'm very tall!! I used to have an old Landrover which was green and one of my friends said I was like the Jolly Green Giant. I used to be into Martial arts in a big way and had my own club but after breaking my back for a second time in 2008 I had to give it up when I was in a wheelchair. They said I might not walk again but I did, I use 2 walking sticks now but Martial arts are definitely out!!  Naturally I was down after losing a big part of my life but tried to find a new direction and something I had always wanted to do was learn to play the guitar. So I bought a cheap classical guitar and a "Learn Guitar" book and I was off. It's 15 years later and I still play and even started tinkering with guitars, especially Electric Guitars. I taught myself how to wire the electrics, how to change the pickups anmd fix all manner of problems. I started collecting guitars, then I began to repaint them and so on. I love all things guitar today. Another thing I got (back) into was playing vinyl records. Like many people I got rid of the big hi-fi with all the records during the 90's when Ihad everything on CD and a tiny little Midi Sony Stereo. But my kids bought me a couple of records with a retro type record player for Father's day one year. That kicked off another hobby - finding and aquiring the records that I used to have in my youth plus a lot more. I bought myself various pieces of Hi-Fi kit from ebay and now have a cheap but great sounding big old Hi-Fi system.

I'll have been married for 35 years later this year, with 3 grown up kids aged 34, 24 and 21

    Thats me

Hello @JollyGreenGiant. It's been a while since you posted and I wondered if you've since heard anything about your PIP review?

So 28 weeks on & still no date for telephone pip appeal hearing, was told it was 27 weeks average wait time in my area now been told will be at least another 3 weeks. Still good news is we have been accepted by UK energy management for loft insulation new boiler & cavity walls to be done. Would thoroughly advise others on benefits if they hit the criteria for help on their property.
