I handed my first sicknote in on 10th of october.
But my journal states the health change was reported on 21st october.
My assesment periods is 17th-16th each month.
Will my assessment period start from when I handed in my first sick note or from when the health change was reported?
I'm just trying to work out if I'm owed 1 months backpay or not

Thanks, I just got my first payment. ( march). But do you think I'm owed 1 month backpayment? I handed in my first sicknote in on 10th or 11th october.
But my journal states that my health condition change wassnt reported until 21st october.
My assessment period was 16th of that month.
So I'm trying to workout if they will start it from the 10th for my sicknote. Which would entitle me to 1 month backpay. Or weather they would start it from the 21st when my health change was reported on my journal which would entitle me to no backpay

Ah yes, i see what you mean now after re-reading your question again, apologise. Was your fit note backdated to 10th October? If so then they don't usually accept a backdated fit note and it will most likely be from when you reported your health condition but it will be down to a decision maker to make the final decision. If it's from when you reported your health condition then your waiting period will be Nov to Feb, with first payment in March and no LCWRA element will be owed.0
