I am looking for a social group for my 47 year old brother who has learning disabilities. After relocating to be near me after the deaths of our parents my brother is lonely and struggling to find any social groups to fit into. We live in Leeds and I have found a choir which he attends but struggling to find anything else for him. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of anything please?

Hi there @lcowell my name is Jaide also known as @durhamjaide2001 and I would like to welcome you to the forum on Scope.
i know an organisation called Luv2meetU it's through an organisation called HFT and they have events throughout the UK and they also do online events as well.I would also recommend you and your brother to become a member of Scope as there's lots of inspiration in the events we have you also get a free vegan box for singing up if you are the first 30 people to sign up to an event. You also get discounts in Scopes charity shops and online store, also you get loads of freebies as well.Another thing I would suggest is that you take a look at the coffee lounge where we play fun games, support each other and chitchat.I hope this helps and I will look forward to seeing you round the forum soon.
best wishes

Hello and welcome @lcowell and thanks for your query To help our members share their thoughts, I've just moved this post over into our independent living category, and edited the title a little.
It's great to hear your brother has settled into the local choir, does he have other things he particularly enjoys doing?
I can see Jaide has shared some great recommendations, so if we can help further, please let us know.0
