I have applied for dla for my son who was diagnosed with ASD it’s been 10 weeks Just one txt can I get some advice how long what’s procedure

We don't have many posts regarding DLA so i can't really say what the estimated timescales are but they are only ever a guide anyway. The procedure is fill in the forms, return them and wait for the decision. Once it's made if you're not happy you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration, then Tribunal (if needed.) An assessment isn't usually needed.

DLA wait times are a little behind at the moment, I cannot find any specific time frame, but with the average wait being 12-16 weeks across the benefit system, I would wait until 12 weeks before contacting them.0 -
Oh thank you for the update @Hannah_Scope that it's 12-16 weeks. The last I saw of it was 12 weeks so not good it's been extended.0

Wow that sounds like just a waiting game yet! It’s a very long procedure! But do let me know what week you get your decision so I don’t keep checking my post etc lol0
