Backdated PIP and 50% car tax

Can we apply to get a backdated car tax refund ? PIP has been awarded and backdated. 
Standard mobility so half price car tax

I believe you can claim 2 years back payment for 50%off car tax. You will have to write to them and send in your original letter showing what you have been given .I.e. standard.
