PIP txt

Hi guys, 

I got a really helpful message from DWP this morning saying they have not yet made a decision about awarding me PIP and they would write to me when they have.

Does anyone find that helpful? I would think it might stress some people out.

Lots of people don't find it helpful and continue to be very anxious after receiving the text updates. If successfully awarded (assuming this is your first time claim) then you will receive a text message.

Texts are not sent if there's no award. You will receive the decision letter what ever the outcome is.

Thanks.. do you always get a txt if they award you?

The txt i got today, is that just an automated one, just wondering if people had got this txt and still been awarded or is it a kind of pre (you're not getting anything) txt.

The text you received today is a standard text sent to everyone that gives a mobile number. It doesn't mean anything other than what it states.

As you've given a mobile number, if awarded you should receive a text telling you "you've been awarded PIP,  you should receive the decision letter within the next 2 weeks."

Sorry for interrupting. 
Do you always get a text message when they award you,or can you get a letter with a decision and no text message. It is very confusing with all of them text messages 🙈

Hello @Blue_eyes not everyone that's awarded gets a text, so not getting one doesn't mean you won't be awarded.

It's all 'haphazard' for my liking, if we all had a 'chip' implanted, then the DWP could convey the decision, well, in milliseconds of a decision made, save  on the cost of texts, letters, Boomerang, smoke signals etc.

So today i got the old fashioned version of the same txt in a letter..

We have all the information we need,.we will write to you when we have made a decision.
