If it's a new claim and you haven't yet received your first payment you can request a new claim advance payment but you'll need to wait until you've had your first job centre appointment. https://www.gov.uk/universal-credit/get-an-advance-first-paymentPlease be aware that this will need to be repaid back and will reduce your future payments.

Are you able to manage okay for essential items in the meantime before any advance payment? Please let us know if you're struggling and we'll endeavour to support you all we can.

As much as I won’t like the 3-week gap without money after the final ESA payment (the 2-week run on payment), I won’t want to put myself into debt, owing money to the DWP over a 2-year period.

I’ll be wanting to receive my two UC payments a month in full… with no deductions. ☑️☑️☑️
Being debt free is better. Owing money to anyone… of course that’s not a good feeling. I’ll know to stay well clear of an advance payment when I migrate from ESA. 👍✔️✔️✔️0 -
I’ll just have to navigate that 3-week gap as best as I can and change what I do in my life in that period. Short-term pain for long-term gain 😊😊😊 - getting my UC payments twice a month and knowing that I am getting every penny of those payments 👌. That’ll be achieved by not asking for an advance payment 👍👍👍.
