Hi all
I'm after some advice please. I had to finish work due to ill health in Oct 202, I'm now on NSESA and higher rate of PIP, nothing else. (Had DLA then PIP) Could i apply for Severe disablement allowance??
Any advice is grateful.

I'm asuming you're asking about Severe disability Premium, rather than SDA. As you're claiming NsESA there's no disability premiums payable with this.Have you checked entitlement to Universal Credit? It's a means tested benefit so if you have savings/capital of more than £16,000 you're excluded from claiming. If you live with a partner you claim as a couple.Your ESA will be deducted in full from any UC entitlement. Have you been through the work capability assessment for your ESA yet? If so has a decision been made on that?I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

SDP not sda! I Have done an ESA assessment and I’m in the support group.

Then check entitlement to UC. You will be entitled to the LCWRA element from the start of your claim because you're in the Support Group.
