Carers allowance is deducted in full from any UC entitlement. Were you claiming UC at the time the carers allowance was backdated to?
Does your UC include the carers element? Do you claim the LCWRA element for yourself?
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

UC would usually take money owed to them in instalments not your entire award @reggie2345. Do you know what the lump sum from Carer's Allowance is for if you've been claiming for a year?

If you're able to answer @poppy123456's questions we could help advise you further on this.

Were you claiming UC at the time the carers allowance was backdated to?

Do you claim the LCWRA element for yourself?

It’s unlikely it will be sorted as a quick process. I know you’re claiming carers allowance but you still haven’t answered my question.
Were you claiming UC for the whole time the carers allowance is backdated to?

Then this means you’ll have an overpayment for UC. You can either keep the lump sum and pay it all back at once to UC. Or they will reduce your UC payments each month until it’s repaid back.
Does your UC include carers element?
