Capital are putting me through so much stress, can I ask has anybody else on here had their assessment report gone into audit which has resulted in me needing another assessment. And if you have how did it go and did they tell you why it was happening, Thank you.

I've only heard of this happening a couple of times. All i can assume is the report wasn't accurate so they are asking for another assessment, which is understandable if it wasn't accurate but i'm only guessing. Only Capita can tell you when another assessment is needed.
I know it's very frustrating and doesn't help your anxiety.

The man I spoke to poppy said it was normal practice but I've looked online but can't find nothing to read to calm my stress down.

It's not normal practice at all. I've known of plently of reports that have been to audit (my daughters included) and it's rare for another assessment to be needed.

Well, I presume you can add me to the list. I had an assessment, & the assessor joked about my profession, insisted I had a shower cubicle (heaven only knows why) & I felt the over hour long assessment didn't go well as I felt most uncomfortable with her. A case manager rang me unexpectedly, but was very pleasant, asking some questions for about 15 mins. a few days later. Then I got a letter saying I had to go to an assessment; I thought it was an error so queried this. I was told it was just to answer a few questions, & was assured that as it was at a different place in the same town, then I wouldn't get the same assessor. The second assessor couldn't have been kinder, but unfortunately I had to go through another full assessment, so had 2 in 3 weeks back in 2017.
I asked for a copy of both assessor's reports, & was told the first didn't even exist on their system, so guess it wasn't 'fit for purpose.' Hoping your 2nd assessment goes equally well.

Hi chiarieds sorry to see you were put through this too 😔 did you have a positive outcome in the end. Mine was a telephone assessment and they are doing another phone assessment next week I wish it could be a face 2 face as I would come over much better if the assessor could see my suffering.

Hi @anth22 - yes, thank you; I was awarded the standard rate for both components, getting 10 points for each. I did go for Mandatory Reconsideration & this increased to 11 & 12 points respectively, which meant I then got the enhanced rate for the mobility component (& was fine with the daily living component as I thought that correct).

@anth22 Have you thought about looking at local clubs in your area? It may be a way for you to meet new people and share a common interest with someone else, without feeling you have to put your trust in them.

Thank you hannah for your replies my health holds me back from even thinking about mixing with people I don't know I only feel safe when I'm in my own home.
I had hospital this week 😩 I've been advised by the surgeon that I face major surgery so my head is all over the place with stress.
And tomorrow I have my phone assessment yet again I wish they would leave me alone I need time out from all this further stress 😩 😪. Does anyone think it would be a good idea to mention what the surgeon has told me during my assessment tomorrow.

Yes, you should tell them what your surgeon told you, if it's relevant to your claim. Good luck for the assessment and i hope this time that your report will be returned without any audit.

@anth22 I'm sorry to hear that  :( When you get yourself 'psyched up' for something it can be a real disappointment to learn it's delayed. Have they given any indication of when it will be rescheduled to? I hope it isn't too far away.

I rang capital I've got a new assessment by phone but I've asked could I get a face2face appointment instead and the person I spoke to said she will but the request through and see if I can get one.
I truly believe that it's not possible to make an assessment off someone over the phone especially needing an assessment in the first place after all the evidence I supplied.
