Hi, I had my phone assessment two weeks ago, but I have just missed a call from capita at 8pm at night. Is this a normal thing for them to call again or does anyone know what it would be for/about? They didn't tell me they would call again.
Thanks very much

I’ve not heard of them ring this late. If your report is in audit then yes they can ring again to ask some questions. However, we can only guess what they wanted so I’d advise you to ring them in the morning when they open. (Capita)0

Ahh I see I didn't know they could call again, yes I will give them a call if I can tomorrow, I'm really anxious about it now but I'll try x
Thank you x0 -
Hi, quick update they called me back and had a few more questions to ask and said that they had spoken to my GP and had to confirm a few things-basically how I deal with certain things, and said its just to make sure I get all the help I need. Not taking that as bad or good, I guess I just need to wait now xx1
-
Fingers crossed you're not kept waiting too long @Kirst89!0

Thanks @Adrian_Scope let's hope not x0

Quick update if anyone needs, recieved a text today saying they have recieved the written report from the assessment and they will contact me within 8 weeks. I know it could be longer, so I guess another wait. Will update with any more info xx1

Sorry another quick update I received a missed call today from pip again 😞 I was under the impression my report was written and it was a waiting game (from the text I got) , I'm so anxious about her calling back this afternoon (when she said she would on voicemail) I feel sick these unexpected calls have knocked me. Twice they have rang me now since the assessment, and now after they said they have recieved the written report 😕
Will update later xx0 -
Update-
The lady called me back and has told me I have a back payment to come and asked if could manage it and that I will get regular payments after. I didn't want to ask any amounts so I guess I'll wait for my letters to come to see.
Thank you all for your help, good news for me today xx4 -
Ah good stuff, thanks for updating everyone @Kirst89 and I'm glad you've found the community so helpful1

Quick update again sorry. Phoned today to ask for the written report and what my back payment was from Jan and the man I spoke to said nothing has been awarded and the call was to ask if I could manage a backpayment if i were to get one, but the lady yesterday said to wait a few days for the back payment. Very confused now. Back to a waiting game. Very stressful xx1

That must be frustrating @Kirst89. Hopefully they'll send out a letter soon so you know what's going on.0

@Adrian_Scope I hope so, it's really stressed me out and made me doubt if I was listening properly the first time, which isn't helping 😔0
-
This sounds really stressful @Kirsty89
Is there anything which would help or usually helps when you are feeling stressed? Hopefully, you will have the answers you need and deserve soon. In the meantime, please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything we can do to support you

@L_Volunteer I would usually read to take my mind off things but I can't keep my mind on anything to concentrate. Thought it was bad enough before I spoke to anyone, now it's even worse 😭xx0

I'm sorry to hear how things are feeling tough at the moment @Kirst89 sometimes just focusing on being present and breathing helps with any feelings of anxiety, is that something you've tried to help ease your mind?
Mind has some tips that might help too, for self-care when feeling anxious, please have a look when you can.0 -
Does it mean I'm back to a 12 week wait?
Yes I have some coping strategies I'm just struggling with them atm. Will look at mind thank you

The 12 weeks is from when the report was returned to DWP. Once a decision is made you will be contacted.

Hiya quick update, I phoned pip today as I have been having some anxiety attacks and just stressing and can't control it, so tried for an update and the kind man I spoke to told me I had been awarded this afternoon a few hours before my call but couldn't tell me what the award was. Wish I could say my anxiety has reduced knowing I have been awarded but it hasn't. Hopefully will pass soon, maybe it won't. Thanks all, will update when I get my letter xx3
