Hello,Is it unusual to get A Phonw call from Dwp about Pip,I asked them to take another look at My Pip Pplication as was droppef from 22 Points grom Both Sectors to 0 Points,I had A call from them asking Me one Question wjich was Can I Manage Budgeting if I was to get Pip and Arrears which I thought wad strange as I had already answered this Question on My Previous Claims and the Recent On Going Claim that was refused and also on My Information that I sent back with The Reasons why and what I am Disagreeing with,They also said that what was all the Information they now needed for The Case Worker that was working on My Case,But earlier I had a missed call from Dwp and when I rang back it said you missed a phone call from us and we will try and ring you another time,Do they usually ring you to tell you whether they have overturned A MRN Decision or if I have been Refused and The other Decision remains the same,I have Anxiety and Mental Health Issues and I am Worrying  about what else they would want to ring Me for,And also its not the number I reconize as Dwp that I used before,Many Thanks

Hello @sharonj and a warm welcome to the community.

It is not unusual for the DWP to contact individuals regarding their PIP application. However, the specific reason for the call and the questions asked may vary depending on the circumstances of the case.

They don't usually call to tell you the outcome of a mandatory reconsideration but I have known on occasion a decision maker letting a claimant know over the phone.

It could be that they are calling to check bank details or to ask more questions but unfortunately we'd only be guessing at this point.

I hope you manage to speak to them soon and that they are able to provide an update. Best of luck with your PIP reconsideration and please let us know when you hear anything.
