Hello, I was wondering if I can have some advice please.
I've been offered a housing association property that I bid on last week and in the process of references and affordability checks etc.
I am currently in private rented property and have to pay a short fall which is fine, but now I'm hopefully moving into more secure housing through housing association my rent would be £539.. Will housing benefit pay for all of my rent or would I have to pay a shortfall?
Also I will be moving within the same local authority aka the same town, and I am on ESA and PIP.. would I have to claim UC?
Many thanks.

Moving to the same local Authority will mean that your housing benefit can continue because it will just be a change of address and not a new claim as such.Unless you have spare bedrooms in your new home then housing benefit should cover the whole rent.1

Thank you so much Poppy for your spot on advice and kindness as always, with regards to esa reviews mine has been moved to November 2023, from November 2022, are they still suspended or are they back on again? I'm sure you get this question a lot and apologise but my mind works itself into a bit of a state.0
