After the extra year with covid I was on standard rate on both components. Now this is where I'm confused. I broke my leg as bad as imaginable. Just before pandemic I went to a face to face in my crutches, dropped off by a taxi driver I'd known all my life. Thing is I'm an old 50 . That I made it to 2nd time but on my own. I was medicated to max , stressed but as far as interviewer concluded I got took off mobility . After mandatory reconsideration I got 8 for walking distance but lost 4 for having no companion. In hindsight I was told off my GP I should've had home visit. Anyway fast forward to last April 2022. I had help filling form in as my RA won't allow me to grip a pen. She said not to rock boat and in September 2022 was given a 4 year award with both standard. Now within next 2 months I got a text about a video/phone assessment. To me I thought as my condition has worsened and meds increased especially my ankle needing a cortisol Injection I would get the 2 pts on both components to bring me to enhanced and get me out the house by driving. After the phone call on December 6th 2022 in which I was 'assigned' a case worker whom like the whole assessment hasn't happened.
In short I was awarded 4 year's on Standard with me sitting 2 pts off both since 1st awarded back in 2016. TL;dr
How can I find out the outcome off telephone follow up imo. My needs have changed and my mental health is deteriorating as a result. I don't have much in support as in family and why I went to damn interview by mate taxi. I asked them after 2019 face to face to call same taxi. I lossed 4 pts as result. If I was to mention some of the stuff I've been through trauma wise I'd need more of same yet no mental health because I can talk to my gp?? How do I go about finding why I went through ordeal of a 9am phone assessment to be texted they had all info needed yet still stressed as feel I should be on enhanced. My RA on my ankle that snapped, shattering my heal dome and locking my broken joint making every step caught in bear trap. I have been told off others it must've been an oversight. Why not inform . The added stress doesn't help as I only leave house once per week to get my meds and need companion. My GPS is about to retire and always said I wasted my life. He only saw me as an addict whom in recovery doing well. No opiod use past decade and subutex are pain meds now?
Help.
PS sorry for book.

I'm a little confused by your timeline. In September 2022 you said you had an award for 4 years for standard for both parts. Then you said you had a phone call in December 2022, what was the call for please? did you report changes at any point after the award in September 2022?If you don't know what that was for then you should ring PIP to ask them.0

Yes your correct I was awarded the 4 year's on September 2022 after application after 2 Yr and covid to near 3yrs in April 2022. Sorry for confusion hence my Alias , I reported no change although when a welfare person from my GP's helped me fill in form basically saying no change to all questions . When I tried to say about my leg break where my fibia and tibia snapped at ankle she said to not rock the boat. No I didn't inform them of any changes after extending prior 3 claims for 2 yrs to a 4yr as she had put no changes.
In November I got txt saying I had a video call for assessment in December in which Ended up as only phone call to which I felt railroaded into short answers as she was just like a bot reading from screen and typing whatever . In said conversation she said I'd be assigned a case worker and would hear within 8-12 wks. It was a legit text from DWP . Got 1 days after saying they had all information needed and wait on decision. This has been nearly 5 months.
I went to same place which helped fill form to see another person who said to wait and see. After all I couldn't be taken off as September award but waiting 5 months in hope they see I need more help has been stressful and miserable. My daughter gave me a Grandson 21st January who I've only saw twice and lives within 3 miles. Getting to appointments atleast once per month and general weekly costs to travel surpasses my £23 pw. I know I should have a car but can hardly heat my house and eat as always in.
PIP waiting times to phone are 1hour+ and I can't sit in 1 place that long without RA ceasing some joint in knees nevermind pain from ankle with leg elevated 30 mins max before having to loosen up.
Again sorry for long answer, writing was never my strong point and thanks for responding.

I'm sorry but i still don't understand why you had another assessment in December 2022 after having a decision on a claim in September 2022. When i asked if you reported changes, what i meant was did you ring PIP to report a change in health condition, which is what prompted another assessment.I'm afraid all you can do is keep ringing PIP. I often find the best time to ring is first thing in the morning when they open at 9am.1

Hello there @CONFUSED1 and thanks for reaching out, I hope you're able to get through to PIP on the phone soon. I was sorry to read that you're having a tough time with your mental health, that must be more of a worry with your GP retiring.
Have you spoken with them about a needs assessment referral? That might help with extra support at home, and day to day.
I'm sorry to hear you're also struggling with travel costs, something which might help with getting to and from any appointments where you have been referred, is the Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme.
There are quite a few people facing very long waiting times getting through on the phone, are you able to put it on speaker at all? That could help you have hands free to loosen up your legs.
If there's anything we've missed, or that you feel you need more help with, please ask, and we'll do what we can.1 -
No report after 4 uear award.
Just a text from DWP about a videocall , phone assessment in December 2022.
Since last form before Covid lockdown I broke my leg badly , this has been overlooked as asked for change in circumstances then back in 2019. All the stress doesn't help and I stay alone with little family or support. Getting into a routine is so hard with pain stopping me sleep until point I'm exhausted.
Thanks for reply and sorry if tagged you. Don't even know where thumbnail for it is.
I will try them 1st thing in morning next time I can stay up all night as stated sleep is hard as is moving around and general housekeeping.
Also housing situation is dire although as we should be happy to be kept and own nothing. I want the blue pill to escape this existence. I know this is not my lifes journeys proper route. Guess it's all down to geographical location.
Until I'm free of this constant hamster wheel. I just know I have so much to offer but to get that chance I need more help. I could fill a library with how life can be so cruel and those who follow true path seem to be punished. I see people walk around who claim to have mental health issues on enhanced who have never been in mental institutions meds spending benefits on drug's . It is a cruel world unless your willing to stand on others to get what you want and at 50 I'm just realising you can't play by the rules. Like in war their are none.

Not being in a mental health hospital doens't mean someone isn't entitled to Enhanced mobility. The mobility part of PIP has 2 parts, following and planning a journey for those with mental health, cognitive or sensory impairments. It's got nothing to do with your ability to walk. Being unable to walk is covered in "moving around" part of mobility. No one knows exactly how someone health conditions affect them and you can't judge a book by it's cover. There's no rules on what you're supposed to spend your money on, you can spend it on anything you want to, with no questions asked.3
