Hi

I am due to go into hospital for surgery soon and will likely have to stay in for 1 night. Do I need to let DWP know about this as a PIP claimant?

No, it won’t affect your PIP. Only hospital stays of 28 days or more affect PIP.

    See comment here.

The day you go in and come home do not count as hospital stays. If you go back in within 28 days then they will be treated as linking days and will be added together with your previous stay.
