Will DWO inform my employer about PIP?

Good morning
I’ve recently been awarded PIP. I haven’t told my employer as I feel it’s quite a personal thing. Work obviously know of my difficulties.

I’m worried that the DWP might tell my employer? Is this likely?
I hate the thought of my boss/colleagues knowing my personal financial info
thanks

Hello @james74
Welcome to the community
I hope you are well?
You do not have to tell your employer anything and the DWP will not tell them either.0 -
is that 100%? I genuinely would rather relinquish the pip rather than have my work find out. I only ask as I’m sure that I saw a post somewhere where someone’s employer had been contacted0

They will not contact your employer because PIP has nothing to do with working. I’m not sure where you read that to but it’s not correct.1
