What impact does a non dependant's student maintenance loan have on the various elements of a Joint UC claim - the non-dependant being a grown up child living at home with parents ? I have PIP daily living enhanced rate.

Thank you - was concerned a loan would be seen as part of the total household income but I guess the answer is in the word 'non-dependant '1

Household income doesn't include any other members apart from a partner you're living with. The loan isn't yours, it's your son/daughters. As you're claiming daily living PIP there wouldn't be any non dependant deductions either.
