hello all, I’ve just applied for PIP for the second time (refused the first time Snd didn’t go to tribunal as not in the right frame of mind) and a friend applied also, we had our telephone consultations exactly a week apart to the minute, again it was her second attempt as first was rejected.
today she received a text saying they hadn’t made a decision but I’ve heard nothing-my questions are…..
1, does it always mean a yes when you receive text messages saying they’ve not made a decision?

1, does it always mean a yes when you receive text messages saying they’ve not made a decision?
2, does it mean I’ve been rejected if I’ve not received the text?
3, does having different assessors mean different times for decision?
Thank you in advance from the perpetually confused benefits newbie xx

1/ That’s a standard text message and means nothing more than what it says. You’ll likely receive a letter saying exactly the same thing. If you haven’t received this text or letter yet then it means they haven’t yet sent it and nothing more.
2/ If successfully awarded they sometimes send a text telling you that you’ve been awarded but not always.3/ The assessors have nothing to do with decisions. Backlogs cause delays as well as each individual cases.Having the assessment at the same time as your friend doesn’t mean you’ll receive the decision at the same time.Once the report was returned to DWP a decision can take anything up to about 12 weeks.1
