Hi I have been on uc for over a year now but have been handin in sick notes since January 19th 2023 I did a assessment on and got out in the lcwra category on my letter it didn’t state if I would be awarded extra money it just says when you will be paid and says in most cases you will be awardees extra money this will show up on your statement. I got awarded lcwra on 03/05/2023 and have had my statement today and my monthly money has not increased at all my assessment period each month is 16th-15th please may someone help me out as I don’t know if I can ask on my journal about extra money monthly

There's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time and then extra money is paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition/sent your first fit note.Based on the information you gave your waiting period will be Feb to May.. LCWRA element starts from 16th May to 15th June and first payment will be 22nd June. No LCWRA element is owed. It will increase your maximum UC entitlement by £390.06/month.The above advice is assuming you're not claiming UC with a partner that already receives the LCWRA element on your claim.0
