Hi just looking for some advice please I’m currently off work on long term sick have been since dec 2022. My ssp is about to run out next month so Iv applied for new style esa. Currently waiting for ssp1 form from my employer. I live with my partner who works full time but I was also awarded enhanced daily living & mobility for pip . Does anyone know how much standard new style esa is when living with a partner who works full time . Iv read 133.30 if u live with a partner & 83 if your single ? Any advice much appreciated. Tia .

New style ESA is a contributions based only benefit and has nothing to do with your partner working or any savings/ capital. You will need to have the correct NI contributions in tax years 2020/21 and 2021/22. The only thing that affect it is a pension of more than £85/week.
If entitled to payments you will receive £84.80/week. Increasing to £129.50/week from the 14th week if you’re placed into the Support Group. What you read will be related to Income Related ESA and it’s no longer possible to claim this.
You can also check entitlement to Universal Credit. As you live with a partner you’ll need to claim as a couple. If you have savings/capital of more than £16,000 you’re excluded from claiming. The ESA will be deducted in full from any UC entitlement.0 -

You can see the Support Group descriptors here. https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/employment-and-support-allowance/esa-glossary/support-group-descriptors if entitled to payments it's only paid for 1 year unless placed into the Support Group.
