Hello I’ve just joined and looking for some advice. I had an unexpected call yesterday from a lady who introduced herself as a dwp assessor and asked if i could talk. I said yes thinking she would be confirming a few things ahead of receiving an assessment date, after a 24 minute distressing phone call she said she had enough evidence. This morning i received a text from dwp saying they had a report and i will hear from them with a decision within 8 weeks. I feel it went really badly given i had no notice and wasnt able to explain exactly what i struggled with. Would you recommend i contact them or wait until i recieve the decision first. Thank you

Hello @hopefulbea
Welcome to the community!
I am so sorry you felt it was a bad experience with no notice. Have you heard anything from them?0 -
Thank you for your reply Hannah_Scope I have received two text messages one on the 18/05/23 which was the day following assessment to inform me they had received the report. And other just yesterday 1/06/23 to let me know they have not yet made a decision. I never bothered asking for a copy of the report as this would have sent me into further panic I would rather request it once they have decided. X0

Hopefully, they will make a decision soon @hopefulbea. It is positive to hear you have been able to make decisions to help reduce your panic though.
Please don't hesitate to let us know if you wish to talk about this further or if there's anything else we can do to support you

Thank you @L_Volunteer joining Scope has helped ease some of the worry by knowing there are others in the same boat, some worse of. Not that I would wish this on anyone. X0
