Question about texts from PIP

Hiya, I will make a quick timeline to clear this up,

DfC received my PIP form on the 27th January 2023

I then had my phone call assessment 15th of March 2023

I have only received the text message saying the below on the 12th May 2023
” We've received the written report of your PIP assessment. We will write to you once we've made a decision on your PIP. As a guide you should hear from us within 8 weeks. You don't need to contact us unless any of the details you gave us have changed. Thank you.”

I was under the impression that it was 6-8 weeks from the phone call assessment to receive results, however it has been 7 weeks from the phone assessment to them messaging they have received the report, has anyone else had experience with this? Does this mean it will be a further 8 weeks from the text message?

Timescales are nothing more than a guide. Seems like your assessment report was chosen for audit which has delayed the report being to returned to DFC. Now the report is returned you should allow up to about 12 weeks for the decision. Once it's made you will be contacted.
