Hello.
This is my first post on here, so I hope I’ve posted on the right place.

I was awarded PIP until July this year. In August 2022, I received a review form, which I filled in and sent off.
I didn’t hear anything back from the DWP until 26th December, when they sent me a text message, telling me they’d still got my form and would be progressing as soon as they can. Also, not to contact them unless my circumstances change.
My Disabled Blue Badge expires in July, and as I still haven’t heard anything, I called the DWP.

They explained that I will have a phone assessment but they don’t know when. Until then I’ll continue to receive PIP but my award will still be until July 2023, (even if we go past that date).
Does anyone know what I can do about my Disabled Blue Badge? The DWP didn’t really seem interested and said I’d have to speak to my Council. But they want an awards letter, so I’m going round in circles.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you

There’s long delays with review decisions and some are waiting longer than 1 year for a decision.
You can ring them to ask them to send you proof of your PIP being extended and then you can use that to reapply for your BB.0 -

It’s all a mess isn’t it.I’ll try the Council on Tuesday and see what they suggest.0 -
Maybe they wouldn't send one because your current award isn't due to end until July. Once you get closer to that date you can ring again (if a decision isn't made by then) and ask them to send you a letter to confirm it's been extended.
