Hello. New here and after some advice please. I've just had some back money from universal credit. It takes me over £6 k savings. Does it affect my claim does anyone know please?

Backdated arrears are ignored for 12 months, after this time the normal deduction of £4.35 per £250 over £6,000 will apply. It's only if you have £16,000 you are excluded from claiming.1
