Hi, PIP have had my assessment form for a year, is this due to the back log?

Hello, pip have had my assessment form for nearly a year, ?? , that are keeping me informed by text, is this all down to back log ??

    There are exceptionally long delays with reviews because of the backlogs. Unfortunately, all you can do is wait.

    You say there are long wait for reviews , is this also the case with first time applications ?   Cheers .

    No. In a previous comment you said you had your assessment on 30th May. Once the report is returned to DWP a decision can take up to 12 weeks.
