Many thanks

First payment would be April or May depending on What date you usually receive your money each month. Also when you first claimed UC in December, did you report your health condition at that time?0
-
No it was from January the first, I normally receive UC on the 8th of the month.
Thank you0 -
Then your waiting period will be Jan to April.. LCWRA starts from assessment period 2nd April to 1st May and first payment will be 8th May. Up to now they owe you for 1 month. Money owed will be paid separately to your usual monthly money and often takes a few weeks to pay it.You will need to check this months statement to make sure this month has been added.0

Thank you poppy.0

Was your WCA face to face or telephone or something else? Just wondering as might need one myself soon0

Mine was supposed to be face to face but the Dr was ill so was done over the phone, my assessment was stopped midway through as I had given enough examples of how my illness impacts a typical day.0

Many thanks0

Ii have received this today, is this correct??0

That is correct. You should remind them that you should reported your health condition on 1st January 2023 and the three month waiting period should take the waiting period as starting on that date. The payments of LCWRA should therefore for the assessment period 2nd April to 1st May.0

Based on the information you gave in a previous comment that you sent your first fit note on 1st Jan then that’s not correct. Were there any gaps in your fit notes? If not are you sure it was 1st Jan that you sent your first fit note?0
-
My first fit note was Jan 1st to 30th April, I have queried it on my journal, as I have another message on there from someone else basically confirming what poppy previously said, i hate things like this it just sends my anxiety sky rocketing0
-
That suggests that you reported it on 23rd March and the date on it was 1st Jan.
They don’t usually accept a backdated fit note, which is why they are saying it starts from 23rd March. Seems correct to me. Your first payment will be 8th August.0 -

Thank you guys, I find DWP very unhelpful, I wished they would realise how much pressure we are all under, another question is the LCWRA paid from the date it was awarded or just starts after the three month assessment period?! Thank you in advance0

The three month waiting period ends three months after that.
The LCWRA payments are start from the UC assessment period starting on or after the day the waiting period ends.
The date of the decision has no relevance to the timing.0
