Hi

I'm looking to get a letter from my doctor confirming I can't work anymore to get access to my pension early if I do get the letter will I still receive my limited capability to work and work related activity award even though I'll be medically retired if I get the letter.

Regards

Any pension you receive will reduce your UC £1 for £1. For this reason i don't see the point in receiving any pension at this stage.

Hi the full pension pot is only 3500 so it wouldn't affect it as its less than 6k and a lot less than 16k?

A lump sum drawn down is classed as capital. If this brings your total savings to less than £6,000 it doesn't affect your UC.

Monthly/weekly income is classed as other income and will reduce it £1 for £1.

Hi I dont have any savings and it won't bring it over to 6k so I'll still be able to get my full uc?

The only money I'd have would be the 3,500 no savings

The LCWRA is part of UC and as I advised it won’t be affected.
