Hi, don’t know where else to type this I am new but looking for some LCWRA advice?
I was placed on LCW and after a year I was asked to do a reassessment.. I handed my form back in and waited 12 months for the actual appointment I believe I’m going to get accepted for LCWRA this time so will I get back dated to when I handed my form in 12 months ago with it not being my fault for the long delay and potentially missing out on the extra support of money?

Hi @C3WKK. Thank you for reaching out to us. We are here to advise you the best we can. In terms of whether LCWRA would be backdated if awarded, the answer seems to be a potential yes.
The length of time it could be backdated seems to be based on how long it takes to carry out the Work Capability Assessment though, rather than when you handed in the form.
Turn to us / Entitled to generally seem to say:"You may also receive some back payment. If it takes longer than 3 months to carry out your Work Capability Assessment the element you awarded will be backdated to this point and you will be paid any owing."Hopefully, this helps. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any further questions though or if there's anything else we can do to support you
