Does anyone have experience with rescheduling appointments?

Hello everybody,
I have just about worked up the courage to give the DWP a call, i have been drenched in helpful advice and support and i thank the community for this. I am making this post just purely out of curiousty to temper my expectations
Has anyone here rescheduled their appointments, rather to change the type of appointment or just postpone it to make it work better at a later date? If so, do you still maintain your position in the waiting list or do you go all the way back? Another way to understand what i am trying to say, after you rescheduled an appointment, will the reschedule be shortly after that or could it take months again?
I hope i am making sense
Thank you in advance for your time

You will need to ring the health assessment providers because they are responsible for the assessments and not DWP. You can find the number on your assessment appointment letter. When you change an appointment please be aware that you can only do this once. You may have to wait a little longer for another appointment to become available. I have no idea how long it will take.1
