@Amazonianup I'm so sorry to hear you keep hitting barriers with the NHS and Social Services. Is there anything we at Scope could do to help?
If you still wanted to go private, Mind have a great information page on Private Sector Mental Health Support.0 -

i mean ppl that can prescribe. therapy seems to think you can overcompensate when i need my life back now. i contact a place today but we will see. im not against therapy but i dont think its the solution to physical problem eg you can try different methods to sleep but at the end of the day if you try methods to adjust or not sustainable its not the solution. iv tried these nhs courses and sometimes people need meds its like people need glasses to see and its a tool the nhs seem to dont like prescribing or discussing long teem solutions and instead prescribe anti depressants to a box and just pushing people away and not referring them instead of think some people need to take more informed control over there health.

I hope you hear back from the place soon @Amazonianup
I agree with your point that therapy won't be for everyone and sometimes it is something that takes time for others. I do feel that sometimes some people don't want to go down the therapy route and decide to go down the medication one because of time. If they work 40+ hours a week and have a family, trying to keep an appointment each week can be difficult too. I feel we sometimes don't look after our mental health enough.0
