When it’s paid from will depend on what date exactly you reported your health condition/sent your first fit note and what date you usually receive your money each month.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hi thanks for reply
So I was turned down last may I was told to do an appeal but also to start a new assessment.. I've just been told I've been awarded lcwra so I can cancel the appeal now .. I get payments 11th of each month think assessment period is from 6th /7th ... I've handed fit notes in since may 2022 but that was for my first try at getting lcwra .. I started new claim and handed in new fit notes from this April 2023 .
I hope that makes sense
Thankyou Rachel

Who told you to cancel the appeal? That may not the best advice. The waiting period for this will not start from May 2022 because this is a new claim. For your first decision were you found fit for work or LCW?I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

If the recent award of LCWRA has only been awarded from when you asked for a new assessment (from April 2023) then you can still continue the appeal to try see if you can get LCWRA from May 2022.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

The first decision I was found fit for work and then went to mandatory reconsideration and then on to appeal which is still going on now .. in the mean time I was told to do a new lcwra assessment and that's what I've now been awarded .

The appeal will look at the earlier decision so is worth allowing that to proceed.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Hey all
Just wanted to update you ..I had a call yesterday from DWP to say they are giving me lcwra from may 2022 so appeal won't need to go to tribunal now they have decided the decision was wrong and I'm to expect a payment in a couple of weeks for arrears owed .I am elated with the outcome ! -

Once payment is made it takes 3-5 working days to go into your bank.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
