Hey there,
I was awarded PIP this Monday, with a back pay coming in on Thursday. I believe I am now entitled to the CoL Payment which got distributed at the end of June/Start of July, as my claim was from the 24th Mar 2023 and the CoL Payment is for claimants eligible from 1st April.
How do I claim this? Do I need to report a Missing Cost of Living payment through the gov.uk site or will they be sent out automatically? Would it speed up if I reported it?
Thanks all.

It's not from the 1st April. Those that started their claim after this date, will not be entitled. It should be paid automatically at some point but you can report a missing payment if you want to. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/cost-of-living-payment#report-a-missing-cost-of-living-payment

Thanks Poppy. The wording, as always, is a little confusing on the website. I did call up and ask about this and their best answer was to just wait and the amount will be paid out at a later date — but by your suggestion I did go ahead and report the missing.poppy123456 said:ckgre96 said:as my claim was from the 24th Mar 2023 and the CoL Payment is for claimants eligible from 1st April.Just incase others question this, the criteria is "you must have received a payment (or later received a payment) for 1st April.
