The decision letters for the work capability assessment do not tell you when you'll receive your first payment. They are standard letters and have never given any payment information.

When it's paid from exactly will depend on the answer to these 2 questions.

What date did you report your health condition/send your first fit note?

What date do you usually receive your money each month?
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

If you don't have a partner on your claim that also gets LCWRA then you'll get payment for this. When that payment starts depends on how long you've been handing in fit notes, the date you first started and your AP dates. @liz123pop

You haven't answered the question about what date exactly you sent your first fit note? We can't give correct advice without knowing this.

Were you able to check? It should tell you the exact date if you look back through your journal.

Thanks. If you receive payments on 15th of every month this means your assessment periods are 9th to 8th of every month. This means you sent your first fit note in the middle of assessment period August to September, which doesn't count because it's not a full month.

Your waiting period will be as follows. Sept to Dec.. LCWRA starts from AP 9th Dec to 8th Jan and first LCWRA payment will be 15th Jan 2023. This means they owe you 7 months up to this month.

If you were receiving earnings since you reported your fit note and you didn't have the work allowance they may owe you some money for this. The work allowance will apply from 9th August onwards.

It often takes quite a few weeks to pay what is owed. They first need to recalculate your past statements to work out how much they've already paid you against what they should have paid you. Once this is done you'll receive a letter on your journal telling you how much they owe. The money will then be paid into your bank.

Once the statements are recalculated they will replace your existing ones so you may want to take copies of those now.

Just to add, my advice is assuming you're not claiming UC with a partner that already receives the LCWRA element on your claim. If they do then you won't be entitled to the extra money.
