Hi, I get this for me son they’ve took this much off my universal credit. Will they know it’s for my sons dla and will I get carers element next month or do I need to l speak to them?

Carers allowance is deducted in full from your UC. Carers allowance will then pay you separately.They do not automatically add the carers element. You will need to report a change of circumstances and tell them you care for him.However, if you’re claiming the LCWRA element for yourself then you won’t be able to claim carers element at the same time.0
