DWP website encountered a problem during PIP appeal application

I has got as far as selecting the dates I am not available and when I clicked next, a website error occurred and logged me out. When I logged back in, no application was saved under my account (despite me saving throughout) so I started all over again. But when I got to the final page and hit submit, it said 'you already have an application for this date'. Except I can't see that application. I can only see the one I tried to do after it crashed, which isn't submitted.

I've wasted so much time on this and now fear I've created some system error, because their website encountered a problem and threw me out. I honestly don't know what to do next.

Why is this whole process you stressful??

Thank you. I guess that's the only option.

There's only one appeal listed in my account, which is showing as not yet submitted. When I try to edit and submit it, I get the 'you've already submitted an appeal for this date' message. But I cannot see another appeal listed, only the draft one.

I really don't have time to call during the hours they are open. I'm feeling so frustrated by this

    Hello Trickyjacket
I would try and clear the browser cache of cookies and temp files and then try again. Do this when you are logged out of your Appeal portal. The cookies and temp files act like a memory bank in your browser to store data and if you remove the cookies it wipes the memory bank of the stored data.
You can do this by doing the following for your browser bellow:-
    Firefox Browser:-
Application Menu dropdown button (top right Hamburger icon 3 dashes)
    Click settings in dropdan menu
Click Privacy and Security (on the left side)
Cookies and site data section and click the "Clear Data" button
Makes sure Cookies and Site data + Cached Web Content are Checkmarked
    Click the blue Clear Button
    Chrome Browser:-
    On your computer, open Chrome.
At the top right, click More .
Click More tools. Clear browsing data.
At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
    Click Clear data
If it does not work in one browser then try another browser because sometimes a website will work fine in one browser but will have problems working in another browser. It all depends also if you have adblockers or you have other setting enabled on your browser that might be blocking the website from functioning properly.
Just a few things to try.
    Hope that helps

Thank you both. I've just done that and I get the same message 'there is already an appeal listed for this date' , which there isn't. The only appeal listed that I can see is the draft which I can't submit because it thinks I've already submitted one! It's a perpetual loop.

I've called and requested a call back. The first time they called back I was on another call so I couldn't pick up. I've just left another call back request so hope I can pick up next time...
