Not been paid, any suggestions how I deal with the situation?
Hello
can someone please help me. I am registered as disabled and started a job on the 3rd July. As I am not able to read or write the employers completed the new starters form for me.
can someone please help me. I am registered as disabled and started a job on the 3rd July. As I am not able to read or write the employers completed the new starters form for me.
One of the forms was the salary form. The employers completed it incorrectly (even though they were given the correct details) and now I have been left with no salary.
They state that it was my responsibility to ensure that it was completed correctly but I am not able to do this and took the employers on trust.
I have now been told that there bankers are trying to reclaim back the salary and that this may take 20 working days. Bearing in mind I am not to blame I do not understand why I have to wait so long.
Can anyone offer me any suggestions on how to deal with this problem?

Hello @Dixon
Welcome to the community!
I am so sorry that you have had to go through that. Has there been an update since you posted? This is a tricky situation and I would actually encourage you to reach out to Citizen's Advice for some more information.
Can I ask, were you speaking with your management on this issue or HR?0 -
