Hi All,
I just wondered if anyone else had this happen to them. I received my WCA decision letter in my journal on the 23rd July stating that I had been awarded LCWRA. However, today my case manager advises me that I have actually been awarded LCW.
I called UC and the guy on the phone stated that the wrong decision letter had been sent as the system has it down as LCW. So disappointing. He didn't even want to get the correct decision letter issued to me, I had to request it, no sorry or anything.
I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Firstly i would put in a complaint because that's wrong that you received someone else's decision letter. Usually your name is put at the top of the letter, did it have your name on it?

Yes it had my name and address on it.
I'm guessing they have standard templates and whoever uploaded the letter chose the wrong template. They were very unsympathetic and unapologetic.0 -
Definitely complain! Full details how to do that is here. https://england.shelter.org.uk/housing_advice/benefits/how_to_complain_about_universal_creditYou can challenge that decision too by first requesting the Mandatory Reconsideration. (MR) you can do that on your journal, if you haven't already. You should state why you think you should have been found to have LCWRA and your reasons why. You can see the descriptors here. https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/universal-credit-uc/uc-faq/limited-capability-for-work-related-activity

Update: So basically my Case Manager contacted the Decision Maker (DM) as the decision on the system was different to the decision letter posted on my journal. The DM came back a few days later apologising for the confusion and confirmed that the system was correct and I had been awarded LCW. I made a complaint and requested a Mandatory reconsideration. I await the new DM to reconsider my case and I'm also waiting for someone to get back to me regarding my complaint.0
