Will my husband’s work pension affect my esa claim

It will depend which ESA you’re claiming. If it’s either contributions based or New style then it won’t be affected. If it’s Income Related then the pension will reduce it £1 for £1.1

Also, I have a small work pension but being 60, and the fact that it lost 60% in the covid crisis, I haven’t claimed it yet and wasn’t intending to for the next 5 years x will that pension, albeit not yet accessed, affect my esa claim(it would be new style- due to arthritis) x0

A pension in a pot will not affect your ESA until you reach state pension age.If you access the pension as a weekly/monthly amount then anything up to £85/week is ignored. For every £1 over that amount there a 50p/ week deduction in your ESA. If you do access it then you will need to report the changes even if it’s less than £85/week.
For lump sum withdrawals then it will be ignored because it’s classed as capital, which doesn’t affect New style ESA.1 -

Does both pip and ‘new’ esa stop when you get the government pension?0

ESA is a working age benefit and stops once you reach state pension age. PIP continues for as long as you remain entitled to it.0
