Hi everyone,
was successful in my mandatory reconsideration. Went from standard daily living to enhanced daily. This isn’t a new claim it’s a review.

However, I was told over the phone by someone at the pip call centre that I’m not entitled to a back payment ? He said that as a new decision was made on the 4th of august that’s as far back as they can go? Surely they should be backdating it to when the original decision was made on my review claim back in may ?
Thanks in advance

That's not correct. It should be backdated to at least the original decision. The reason for this is because the decision that was made at the time was wrong and a new decision maker took another look at that claim and changed the decision.

@poppy123456 , thanks , I said that to the guy but he was adamant. Luckily he put me through to a caseworker in the end who said she’s looking into itpoppy123456 said:That's not correct.
