Hi everyone, so had my phone assessment last Wednesday, 9th Aug, I just wanted to ask the community if it’s standard procedure to get a text the next day or the day after from dwp to say they have received the report ?, only I haven’t had anything yet and it was 9am Wednesday morning, or am I being paranoid

Hi @alrobbo64 I had my pip assessment last Sunday and I rang up on the Monday and asked for a copy of my report and I received my report today and I still haven’t had a text to say they received the report so I don’t think everyone gets notified that dwp have received the report. Hope this helps

Yes they often but not always send a text once the report is returned. I don't know what you mean by this.

You won't automatically receive the report. If you want a copy sent to you then you need to ring PIP to ask them to send it. Do be aware though that it's not the decision, it's a recommendation only.

Now the report is returned a decision can take anything up to 12 weeks.

No poppy, it’s just that most people on here are saying they got a text message acknowledging they have received the assessors report, I just assumed everyone got this provided they have your mobile number

Oh i see, sorry. The report isn't always returned on the same day. Sometimes if it's chosen for audit (random) then there will be a delay in returning it. It's nothing to worry about it just means they are checking the assessor did their job correctly. The only annoying thing is that it can delay the decision being made.
