Hi all my partner applied for pip on 12th July he received a text on the 10th august saying they had completed his assessment and will hear with a decision soon. How long did any of you wait after that text and also is a paper based good? He did have lots of hospital/ consultant letters and he does have a lifelong condition and will have to go every 6 months for the rest of life so I’m hoping it’s a positive thing However this waiting is causing him distress

That's extremely quick for the report to have been returned already. It can now take anything up to 12 weeks. Paper based assessments are rare but possible and not such a bad thing.

Thank you he was fine with the wait till he got that message now he’s stressing everyday. We phoned Monday and asked for the report and they said yes they would send it. It’s with a decision maker. I asked if they always go with the report and she said sometime they can give lower but normally they stick with recommendations so he got his hopes up that he should get high as she never said higher just lower.0
