Hi all. I'm new here. I'm worried as I've had pip telephone assessment and it lasted for more than 2.5 hours. Is that normal?

Yes, completely normal. It does differ quite a lot for everyone dependant on a number of factors such as poorly completed forms etc.
When PIP receive your assessment report back you should expect a decision within 2-12 weeks.0 -
Hey, thanks for the reply. My form was completed in depth with examples for each relevant descriptor and backed up with supporting medical evidence and diagnosis and info about how each conditions affects me so I was shocked that I needed to be grilled for 2.5 hours but good to know that this is quite normal! Hopefully I will get an answer soon! Thanks for taking the time to put my mind at ease!0

Hey no I haven't had a response yet.
They've had my report since the 1st of August.
Nerve wracking!0 -
I know what you mean. I'm lucky that I didn't have to wait too long but will now have to look into a mandatory reconsideration because I only got the low rate of daily living. Good luck with yours. I hope the longer wait will result in a better outcome for you!0
