Well done for getting through it. How long was your assessment do you think?0

That's not too bad, mine was around the same I think when I had it1

Asking for the report can cause so much unnecessary anxiety and won’t make much of a difference overall if you had to progress to the MR/appeal stage. You can ask for the report when it’s returned to the DWP though, wait for a text.1

I agree with bg844 in that your assessment report often causes so much anxiety & is in fact best put behind you if you disagree with your decision (which I hope isn't the case). Far better to just wait for your actual decision letter.

@chiarieds thankyou .. I understand what you're saying you can be two minds about it as I don't know how the reports work is it a tick system or minus will it give you an indication of a yes or no ? Thankyou in advance0

In the report there will be activities and descriptors. Next to each descriptor there will be a dot or a tick. For example, activity 1, preparing food. There's descriptors A to F, with A scoring zero points, B=2 points etc etc. Underneath each one there will be their justification for choosing each descriptor.Points are not added in the report because it's a recommendation only. Use the PIP self test here https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/pip-test-form to transfer the dots from the report into the test and at the end it will tell you what the score is.Only a decision maker can make the decision, though they mostly go with the report, it has been known for them to go against it.I agree with others, requesting the report causes so many people so much more anxiety.

@L_Volunteer hi there, thankyou so much ...I feel ok about ringing them and hopefully it won't take too long on the phone.. as we all know how long it takes to get through to them... But I feel ok in doing that I will probably get a bit anxious after asking and then waiting for a document to arrive.. but I still want some kind of clarification gives me a bit more hope that way .. that's just my personal view 😊🙏0
