Hello @daveymayve
Welcome to the community! Hopefully you'll hear something back within 12 weeks but there are backlogs.
I am sorry to hear you are very alone. I hope we can be a support for you1 -
Thank you I have seen post saying 2 weeks on websites also I'm confused because I already had a text from dwp saying
We've received the written report of your PIP assessment. We will write to you once we've made a decision on your PIP. As a guide you should hear from us within 8 weeks. You don't need to contact us unless any of the details you gave us have changed. Thank you.
But then I get this letter 2 or so weeks later0 -
@daveymayve Unfortunately, there is a backlog at the moment and it seems they haven't accounted for it in their automated responses in texts and letters.1

The texts are standard texts and they don’t mean anything other than what they tell you. Timescales for decisions after the report is returned is anything up to 12 weeks.

Hello my husband waited just 9 days from his phone assessment, then got txt confirming he was awarded PiP, money in bank and decision letter 5 days later.
I have just done a MR as we disagree with decision, he got low rate mobility, and only 6 points for daily living.
Good luck, hope you don’t wait too long and you get the correct award.1
