Remaining politically neutral during General Election 2024

Under guidance from the Electoral Commission and Charity Commission, it's important that Scope remains politically neutral during General Elections.

While we understand that this period will see many passionate discussions and do not want to discourage open discussion, we cannot allow discussions which are purely intended to influence voting.

As ever, please make sure that your comments remain respectful of other people's opinions and keep to our online community house rules.

Hi @rich04, welcome to the Scope Community. You aren't the only person with spinal stenosis the past few days, you aren't alone in this journey. I hope we can help you get the answers you're looking for!

When you mention support group is that referring to the ESA group you are in?
They/Them, however they are no wrong pronouns with me so whatever you feel most comfortable with

Hi @rich04 - & welcome to the community. The fact that you're receiving a benefit should not have any bearing on your employment. You should not just resign, rather discuss your options with your employer. Perhaps they can put 'reasonable adjustments' in place, even a different role. It may also be a good idea to contact ACAS:for advice: https://www.acas.org.uk/
