LCWRA backdated with huge gap

Here’s the information below the first fit notes and change of circumstances etc.

I have never been on benefits this  traumatic event happened to me in November 2021
 
I went on SPP and this lasted from NOV 2021 - April 2022

- I created a unvirseal account in February 2022

- during Feb - March I went through setting up the account with information etc

- My Ap every month is 29th - 30th

- 18th March - Reported change of health.

- 22nd March i reported the first fit note    ( novermber 2021 - 18th April 2022)

No fit notes between May , june, July,  August and september

This was becuase I tried going back to work to cope with my situation but later in October had a serve Emotional break down and went back SSP

- October 22nd 2022  I report a fit note 

- provided sick notes every month till decision was made. 

- Awarded LCWRA in March 2023 in letter

- first payment of LCWRA

Becuase if the huge gap (which im not expecting anything from this gap) would they still considering March and April 2022 cause that's when I reported it and of course  October 2022 . Again I dont expect backdated pay for the gap more before and after the gap backdadted 

So is it going to include March, April, October,November December,January February, March, April,  May, june and july

Or just from October 2022 onwards till July 2023?

The waiting period is 3 full assessment periods starting from when you first reported your health condition. Providing you send a fit note within 7 days of that and continued to send them without any gaps until a decision was made on your work capability assessment. The LCWRA element isn't paid at all during the waiting period.

The backdated fit note to November 2021 is irrelevant because you were claiming UC at that time. The gap is very likely going to affect when the waiting period starts from. This means that March and April 2022 is likely not going to count towards the waiting period because of the large gap after this but it will be down to a decision maker to make the final decision.

If they go from October 2022 then it will depend on what date exactly you reported your fit note that month. 

Based on the information you gave then your first LCWRA element payment will be either Feb or March 2023.
